Residence Hall Facilites

Each of the eleven residence halls at UW-Green are three stories high and house about sixty students (two students per room), with the exception of Roy Downham Hall (which houses sixty students per floor). All rooms have private bathrooms, showers and vanities and are furnished with bunk beds, two dressers, two desks, two chairs, two closets, carpeting, and drapes. Each residence hall also offers kitchen, laundry, and lounge areas and all rooms are equipped with a basic television cable package and high-speed internet access.

Roy Downham Hall is larger than the other residence halls on campus with almost 190 students compared to 60, and it has some special features. Roy Downham Hall is equipped with a computer room, an academic quiet study room, a large kitchen, and two common lounges.

Residence Halls closest to the main part of the UW-Green Bay campus are Ted Lenfestey Hall, Arlene Walter Hall, Byron Walter Hall, and Josephine Lenfestey Hall.

Apartment Style Residence Halls

There are five apartment-style residence halls, which offer mostly 4 student/4 bedroom apartments. There are a limited number of 2 student/2 bedroom, 3 student/3 bedroom, and 5 student/5 bedroom apartments. The majority of students living in the on-campus apartments are upperclassmen. Each apartment has a private bathroom (the 5 student/5 bedroom apartments have one bathroom with two showers), kitchen and living room with a private bedroom for each student.

Traditional Apartments

There are nine traditional apartment buildings, which offer living options in four-student/two bedroom apartments, one-student efficiency apartments, and two-student/one-bedroom apartments. The majority of students living in the traditional apartments are in their second or third year living on campus. Each apartment has a private bathroom, kitchen and living room and two shared bedrooms, with the exception of the one-student efficiency apartments and two-student/one-bedroom apartments.

DeSpirito House

There is one 5-bedroom/9-student house near to campus that is owned and operated by the Office of Residence Life and houses female students during the academic year. A resident assistant is assigned to live on the first floor of the house and assist the students living there. If you would like more information on the DeSpirito House, please contact the Office of Residence Life.

Please visit our Facilities page for more information on the individual housing buildings on campus. A map of Housing can be found here, with a full map of campus here.
